There is a very good reason why actors, actresses and sports heroes are called stars. It's because they point to greatness.
The Magi meet with Herod, and tell him they, "observed his (Christ's) star at is rising." We are supposed to be like the star and point to Christ Jesus as our savior. I don't know about you, but I mess this up all the time. So how do I get it right? I will tell you what not to do... According my my niece who works at a movie theater, "Do not be like the rest of the Christians who are showing up there to watch the Chosen's version of the Nativity." The staff all agree that the Christian crowd is by far the meanest and most disrespectful. Ouch! Why is that? Is it because the bar is set higher for us? Is it because we are sinners? (duh!) Or is it simply because we think that watching something holy makes us holy? It is time for us to step up and be the light pointing to Jesus. Being Christians means we are first and foremost disciples. The early Christians had an amazing gift to offer. They enchanted the world of Christ's day with kindness, inclusion and equality. ~Let us all be like the star that led the Magi to Christ. Be that gentle light that shows the way.
